As Mindtickle prepared to accelerate its next phase of product expansion, the company needed a Sr. Director of Product to lead its Enablement Product Suite: one of the most critical pillars of its roadmap. This role required a leader with end-to-end product ownership experience across complex, high-scale environments managing $10–50M ARR portfolios.
Mindtickle specifically sought someone with a strong eCommerce background from large-scale tech companies, regardless of the B2B/B2C divide, to bring robust first-principles thinking, operational sophistication, and the ability to scale products in fast-moving, high-growth contexts. The challenge was not only to find someone with the technical and product depth but also a leader who could align with Mindtickle’s strategic ambitions and cross-functional culture.
To meet this mandate, Purple Quarter conducted a targeted and insight-driven search that mapped leaders with both scale experience and product maturity. Amit Velinkar emerged as the ideal match. With leadership roles such as Senior Program Manager at Microsoft and Director of Engineering at Flipkart, Amit brought a rare blend of enterprise performance rigor and high-velocity consumer-scale execution. His entrepreneurial experience as Co-founder and CTPO of Allorio further demonstrated ownership mindset and business-first thinking, aligning with Mindtickle’s requirements.
