The 3-Month Turnaround: How Purple Quarter Set Auxia’s India Ops in Motion

Introduction

Auxia is an AI-native growth and engagement platform founded in 2022 to help modern product and marketing teams drive smarter, personalized user journeys. Headquartered in Los Altos, California, and backed by Vela Partners and Incubate Fund, the company empowers enterprises to launch real-time, cross-channel experiments using advanced machine learning models. Currently in its seed stage, Auxia serves clients across Japan, the UK, and the US, and continues to innovate at the intersection of data, automation, and user experience.

Problem Statement

Auxia needed a VP of Engineering to lead and scale its India operations. This critical role called for a leader with deep AI/ML expertise, experience in building and nurturing engineering teams, and the ability to architect scalable systems. The position required a unique blend of startup agility, technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration, making it a high-priority and challenging search.

Execution & Solution

Auxia sought a seasoned engineering leader who could own and drive the India tech vision while aligning closely with the global team. We took on the challenge to find a professional who combined deep technical understanding with team-building capability and a strong product mindset.

Using our proprietary Behavioral Metric Model (BMM), we identified Nagaraj Hatti as a strong blend of “Creator” and “Nurturer.” His entrepreneurial background—most notably founding Tesmon, an AI-based SaaS platform for autonomous testing—aligned well with Auxia’s tech direction. With leadership roles at Envoy, Snap Inc., and Apple, and earlier experience at Microsoft and Cisco, Nagaraj brought the right mix of scale, innovation, and leadership maturity.

While the original requirement was for a VP of Engineering, Nagaraj was brought on as Engineering Leader given his exceptional fit with the role and the stage of Auxia’s India operations. We successfully closed the position in just three months, enabling a smooth and timely transition.

Looking Forward

As Engineering Leader, Nagaraj is focused on building a high-performance team, developing scalable architecture, and shaping Auxia’s AI-led product strategy. His leadership is instrumental in transforming the India team into a core pillar of innovation and delivery—supporting Auxia’s mission to revolutionize growth across global markets.
