Introduction

Kale Logistics Solutions is a trusted global provider of cloud-based technology for several Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Kale Logistics specialises in the logistics industry and offers a comprehensive suite of tech solutions built on in-depth domain knowledge and technical expertise. Their enterprise systems and Cargo Community Platforms provide a single electronic window that supports operational flows, disseminates data to various stakeholders, and enables the paperless exchange of trade-related information among stakeholders.

Problem Statement

At Kale Logistics, multiple stakeholders—freight forwarders, ground staff, cargo handlers, airports, customs, and rail/road transportation—are involved in the cargo transportation process. Currently, there is no integrated system for information sharing and processing among these parties. Initially, Kale operated as a traditionally driven firm, refining their product through multiple iterations to meet customer needs. Despite their employees’ dedication, the pace of technological advancements was comparatively lacking.

After receiving (Series B) funding from Creaegis Advisors LLP, they encouraged Kale transformation and expansion. Consequently, Kale and Creaegis sought a CTO to lead stakeholder decisions and drive the company’s transformation. They needed a tech leader with experience in modern B2B SaaS product enterprises, aligning with Creaegis’ vision. Therefore, they required a strong tech leader to implement technological change, bring in fresh talent, and drive a complete transformation of the company.

Solution & Execution

Upon understanding the ideal fit requirements, we categorized them into two main buckets: logistics industry experience (preferred but not mandatory) and a tech leader from the B2B SaaS sector with global exposure, ideally from renowned B2B logistics SaaS enterprises. We addressed the challenges, including relocation issues, and provided consultation on potential roadblocks.

We identified talent with logistics enterprise experience and new-age technologies, focusing on Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. Kale’s unique interview process allowed both the candidates and the company to assess fit, with candidates visiting the headquarters to experience the company culture.

Using our proprietary Behavioral Metrics Model (BMM), we identified Tribhuwan as a Reconstructor experienced in 10-100x growth, making him well-suited to lead an engineering team of 200-300 people. His strength in transforming existing systems made him an excellent fit for Kale Logistics. When Tribhuwan visited the headquarters and met with the leadership team, board members, and investors, he received positive feedback. He checked almost all their boxes, convincing them of his overall suitability.

Looking Forward

Tribhuwan has extensive experience in B2B organizations. Throughout his career, he has witnessed significant transformations, adopted new technologies, achieved scalability, and gained global exposure. He has built products for international customers and founded startups, aligning perfectly with Kale’s requirements and making him an ideal fit.

He aspires to play a technology leadership role with complete autonomy over his position and responsibilities. He also holds the potential to impact the company’s revenue through technological advancements, new product development, and enhancements to existing products, thereby attracting more customers. This aligns with Kale’s targets for the next 5-6 years.
