Problem Statement
Postman was developing a new vertical within Postman Labs and sought an ideal candidate with IC expertise in both backend and frontend development. They needed a leader with a product mindset, who had previously built and scaled a product and had experience co-founding B2B SaaS companies.
Postman was meticulous in their requirements, seeking a candidate who understood their product and was confident in their ability to build and scale it over the next 3-5 years. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t find the perfect match and ultimately sought Purple Quarter’s assistance to find the right fit for the role.
Solution & Execution
When Postman approached us, they relied on our niche expertise to find the perfect fit for their role. Before starting the search, we took the time to understand their pain points and specific requirements. We delved deeply into the role’s requirements, collaborated with Postman’s internal TA team, and refined the criteria while scrutinizing candidates.
Utilizing Purple Quarter’s proprietary Behavioural Metrics Model, Nitish emerged as an ideal fit and was profiled as a Creator. He has significant IC experience, having worked with early-stage companies and co-founded ventures. Nitish has successfully navigated the 0-1 journey and scaled companies as well.
We successfully filled this crucial role within 3-4 weeks, with Nitish starting in just 2 weeks. Additionally, Purple Quarter assisted Postman in evaluating the compensation structure.
Looking Forward

His strategic emphasis will be on continuously improving both the velocity and quality of development efforts, playing a pivotal role in defining the future landscape of API development within the company.
