MoEngage was looking to hire a Principal Architect to lead core architectural efforts and help scale mission-critical systems efficiently. The role demanded a leader with deep experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and mentoring engineering teams—all while driving cost-effective, high-performance solutions for a rapidly growing global customer base.
Given our prior successful collaboration, MoEngage again partnered with Purple Quarter to drive this high-impact search. Their requirement for an engineering leader who could take ownership of complex infrastructure challenges while aligning closely with business and product goals was appropriately met in record time.
Our proprietary Behavioural Metric Model (BMM) identified Safeer CM as a strong blend of “Nurturer” and “Reconstructor.” With a stellar track record at companies like LinkedIn, Flipkart, Yahoo, and extensive consulting experience in SRE and cloud platform engineering, Safeer brought the ideal mix of deep technical expertise and leadership maturity. While the original ask was for a Principal Architect, he was appointed as Principal Engineer given his immediate alignment with the role and MoEngage’s roadmap. The position was successfully closed in just 45 days.
As Principal Engineer, Safeer is focused on building scalable infrastructure, improving SLA performance, and mentoring teams across the org. His expertise is already playing a key role in shaping the next generation of reliable, cost-optimised systems, powering MoEngage’s continued growth across global markets.
